Tim Moyer-

Player Development & Recruiting Consultant

Tim Moyer took over as Chestnut Hill College’s head women’s volleyball coach prior to the 2018-2019 season. An accomplished coach at the collegiate and high school levels, Moyer led Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) rival, Jefferson to the 2016 CACC Championship in his second season at the helm.
 
In three just seasons at Jefferson, Moyer earned two CACC Coach of the Year awards (2015, 2017) and progressed the Lady Rams from a .500 (15-15, 12-7 CACC in 2014) program to the dominate CACC competitor that appeared in consecutive CACC title matches (2016, 2017).  Under his command, the Lady Rams won the 2016 CACC Championship with a 29-6 overall record and an 18-1 league standing. They returned to the CACC Championship match in 2017 after posting a league-best 26-7 overall record another 18-1 conference standing as top team in the South Division. At Jefferson, Moyer complied a 76-17 (.817) overall mark, a 52-5 (.912) CACC standing, and produced 10 All-CACC performers, including six First Team selections, two of which – middle hitter Corrine Justus (Allentown, Pa.) and outside hitter Courtney Wensel (Bechtelsville, Pa.) – earned American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-East Region recognition in 2017.
 
Moyer began his volleyball coaching career as an assistant coach for Pennridge High School’s girls’ varsity team in 1993. After four seasons with the Rams, he took over as the head coach of Pennridge’s boys’ varsity team, which reported a 36-12 (.750) record in four seasons and appeared in four straight district and state playoff tournaments. Moyer departed from Pennridge in 2000 to explore other professional ventures, but returned in 2009 to head their girls’ volleyball varsity program for four seasons. During that tenure, the Rams recorded a 31-6 (.838) record, reaching the district playoffs in each season, and their first state playoff appearance in three years. In 2011, Moyer simultaneously took on head coach responsibilities of North Penn High School’s boys’ volleyball varsity program – who posted a 61-19 (.763) record, while making three district playoff appearances, and a state playoff appearance - and Game Passion Skill (GPS) Crush Volleyball Club.

Moyer earned his bachelor's degree in biology (1998) and, more recently a master's degree in exercise physiology (2002) from a local universities. He owns a Coaching Accreditation Program (CAP) 2 certification, as well as, accreditation as a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES), and an International Youth Conditioning Association (IYCA) Certified High School Strength, Speed, and Quickness Coach.
 
Outside of volleyball, Moyer is a billing and training manager for Dispense Doc of Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania. His past professional experience includes several strength and conditioning positions with various Philadelphia-area fitness facilities. He currently resides in Hatfield, Pennsylvania, with his wife Angie Brambley-Moyer –  an associate head strength and conditioning coach on Princeton University's Athletics Performance Staff  - and their dogs Roxy, Sydney, and Bailey.

Julie Booth- U17s Co-Head Coach

Coach Julie returns to Pinnacle for her second year and will coach the U17s with her brother, Coach Brandon.

Coach Julie is the Junior Varsity Coach at Pennridge High School.  She has coached at Pennridge since 2017 as a varsity assistant and is now the current Junior Varsity Head Coach.  She also played 4 years of varsity volleyball at Pennridge High School as a right sight and defensive specialist.

John Barndt- U16s Head Coach

John Barndt joined the Chestnut Hill College women’s volleyball coaching staff as an assistant prior to the 2018 season. Barndt’s elite collegiate coaching experience will inspire and bring a championship mentality to the club this year.
 

Collegiately, Barndt held the assistant coach title for Jefferson University from 2015-2017 amassing a 76-19 record. Alongside head coach Moyer, Barndt also contributed to the Jefferson’s three CACC championship appearances and one NCAA appearance (2016). In 2016, he aided in Jefferson University capturing the 2016 CACC Championship title.  Coach John is now the first Assistant at Chestnut Hill College, under Head Coach Tim Moyer.

Barndt started his coaching journey in 2008 at the GPS Crush Volleyball Club and coached at the club through 2016.  Coach John then joined Pinnacle Volleyball Academy in 2017 and has been a head coach of teams ranging from U-15 to U-18.


Caitlin Saalfrank- U14s Head Coach

Caitlin Saalfrank is entering her fifth season as a coach, with experience coaching ages ranging from U13 to U17.  

 

Caitlin played volleyball at Gwynedd Mercy University from 2017-2021. She played libero at GMU. Over the last 4 seasons, Cait has been named Conference Defensive Player of the Week 5 times. She led the team in digs, digs/set, aces, and aces/set over the last 4 seasons. She also led the conference in digs, digs/set, and aces over the last few seasons. Caitlin was nationally ranked for digs and digs per set throughout her career. 

 

Caitlin has been playing volleyball since she was a freshman in high school at Pennridge High School, where she played for Coach Brandon. In high school, she was a 2-year varsity starter at libero and was a varsity captain. Caitlin led the team in digs, digs/set, and aces.


Wendy Snyder- U13s Head Coach

Coach Wendy Snyder has joined the Academy in 2020, bringing her vast coaching experience dating back to 2001.  She has been vital to the growth of the sport of Volleyball in the Quakertown area coaching both the boys and girls program.  She is currently with the Quakertown boys program and has been a part of the staff since 2009.

Coach Wendy also brings her vast club experience to Pinnacle, having been a Head Coach at Highline Volleyball Club, Indian Valley Volleyball Club, and Acceleration.  

In addition to her high level coaching experience, Coach Wendy also brings several coaching certifications and credentials.  These include being Cap I certified, a member of the National  Federations of High School Associations, American Volleyball Coaches Association Member, Certified Double Goal Coach 2016, IMPACT certified, and Certified Double Goal Coach.  

Colleen Erwin- U12s Head Coach

Coach Colleen returns to Pinnacle for a second season to coach the U12s.  Coach Colleen was the Assistant for the U13s in 2020-21 and is a teacher who is passionate about the game of volleyball and brings a positive energy to our youngest group of aspiring volleyball players.
